Accessibility for all guests

Accessibility

Hotel Dirsch aims to make its website and the digital services offered through it usable by as many people as possible, independently, comprehensibly and without particular difficulty.

Our commitment

Low-barrier and robust use

This page provides information on the accessibility of the Hotel Dirsch website and the associated digital services.

The benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 02/02 at conformance level AA. The website is partially compliant with these requirements; the known limitations are listed further below.

This information is current as of 29 September 2026.

Description of the service

What is offered via this website

Hotel information

Information on rooms, offers, wellness, the restaurant, meetings, activities, directions and ways to contact us.

Enquiries and reservations

Digital forms for hotel, wellness, meeting, table, day spa and job application enquiries.

Vouchers and booking

Ordering of hotel and wellness vouchers, including payment processing, as well as forwarding to the external online booking process.

Technical and editorial measures

How accessibility is implemented

Operation and orientation

Keyboard-operable navigation, visible focus indicators, a skip link to the main content, clear headings and logical page structures.

Forms and feedback

Labelled input fields, easy-to-understand instructions, recognisable mandatory fields, and status and error messages for assistive technologies.

Presentation and motion

Sufficient contrast, scalable content, reflow on small screens and respect for the system setting for reduced motion.

Assistive technologies

Semantic HTML and standardised controls support use with screen readers, magnification software and other assistive technologies.

Testing procedure

Self-assessment of 29 September 2026: automated testing of all public pages in German and English and of the guest information against WCAG 02/02 A and AA on desktop and smartphone, display at a width of 320 pixels, on tablets and at 200 percent zoom, keyboard operation of the menu, booking window and consent dialogue, and HTML validation of the most important pages.

Continuous improvement

New content and functions are included in the testing process. Reported barriers are assessed and, wherever possible, remedied promptly.

Current testing status

Known limitations

An audit by external experts and a test with screen readers by people with disabilities are still pending. Automated tests do not detect every barrier.

PDF documents such as the hotel brochure, the conference folder, hiking and cycling routes or price lists are not accessible. On request, we will gladly send you the content in an accessible format.

The interactive grounds map can only be used to a limited extent with a keyboard and screen reader. All locations are also available as a searchable list.

On some pages, the main heading is followed directly by a third-level heading.

Third-party services – online booking, the voucher shop, payment processing via PayPal, embedded videos and maps, and the newsletter sign-up – may contain their own barriers. Hotel Dirsch has only limited influence on their technical design.

Report a barrier
